Sight Advice South Lakes – The Bradbury Centre in Kendal, 14th October

I found myself giggling loads with this happy team from Sight Advice. As I entered their building, one team member came skipping down the stairs with a huge grin on her face. She was Amy, the Deputy. I then met Claire in her office who was waving her arms like crazy as she greeted me. And within minutes I met Ellissa – the bubbly team member who works with children and young adults. Lastly, Tim, their gadget man, a calm-voiced patient man who gave me tips to improve my iPhone. He also demonstrated some of the wonderful aides to help those with limited or no sight. I participated with one of their monthly groups. These are people helping each other cope and strategise with slight loss. They seemed to empower each other in miraculous ways!! I loved the positivity I experienced. These were wonderful people – all of them!
